The Rev It Up Racing eSports Team have won Season 2 of the 2019 iRacing Endurance Le Mans Series!
Jeremiah Morton and Corey Ott drove the Pagnian LMP2 car to 1st place in the 6 Hours of Le Mans, securing the Championship for the team! The pair drove the “A” car at a blistering pace for all 6 Hours, and despite looking destined for a 2nd place finish, managed to up the pace to another level and grab hold of the lead with 1 Hour remaining. The result was more than enough to bring home the Championship in the LMP2 class of the Endurance Le Mans Series.
“I’m so incredibly proud guys,” exclaimed Morton post-race, “Just wow!”
Not only did the A car secure victory in the race and the Championship, the B car also managed to win in the 2nd split of the race! Piloted by Jack Godden, Clint Smith and Jackson Freer, the #002 B car held the lead for most of the race, and overcame a late race strategy charge to win the 2nd of 4 splits at the 6 Hours of Le Mans.
With the C car, driven by Sean Grimmond and Kristofer Foster, coming home in 9th; as well as Clint Smith and Sam Doecke managing 2nd in the earlier timeslot race, the entire team looks to be in good stead for the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend.
“The big challenge is the 24 [Hour Race],” explained Team Owner, Romer Alcala. And with a recent influx in results, participation, and enthusiasm, the Rev It Up Racing eSports Team is set to pose a big threat to in next weeks 24 Hours of Le Mans.
