A Racing Simulator will naturally generate engagement on your stand – but with some thoughtful planning, you can maximise the value from your simulator! Here are some tips we’ve picked up from our experience in the industry:
1) Give away a prize – and promote it We include a Fastest Lap Leaderboard, so have a desirable prize prepared for the fastest lap of the exhibition. Have it on display or promoted so passers-by are intrigued!
2) Plan for return visits The best simulator activations don’t end after one race. With a good prize and a leaderboard, people have a reason to come back, to try again, and (most importantly) to continue engaging with your brand. Don’t fight this – the more people in and around your stand, the better!
3) Engage people while they wait Your stand is unique – people will wait for 10-20 minutes watching the simulator, waiting for a turn. Make sure your team are aware of this opportunity! Be engaged with the simulator yourselves, and chat to people while they wait. You’ve got an audience already engaged wanting to be there, so now is your time to connect with them.
4) Use the finish as a conversation starter The conversation doesn’t end when it’s their turn to race – as soon as they finish on the simulator, your team can easily re-engage them, asking how they enjoyed it.
5) Make lead generation part of the experience If your exhibition uses badge scanners, make scanning part of the racing process. Requiring drivers to scan before they race gives you an easy way to capture qualified leads.
6) Build your campaign around the simulator Your simulator will take 2.0m X 1.5m of floor space (more if you’re hiring multiple), so let it be the centrepiece. Build your marketting program around the simulator – with themes of speed, racing and competition. Have your prize pre-planned and incorporate that into the stand branding – so people can easily see what they can win!
With these tips, you can take your exhibition stand to the next level, and make sure your brand is the star of the show!
